HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit
Discipline: RN
Duration: 13 weeks
36 hours per week
Shift: 12 hours, nights
Employment Type: Local Contract

Number of Beds - 14
Number of Staff – 8 RNs per shift
Type of staff: 1 Charge RN plus7-8 Staff RNs per shift
Patient Ratios – 2:1, 1:1
Type of equipment – Alaris IV pumps,
EMR - EPIC
Typical Procedures: Intubation, art line insertion, chest tube insertion, central line insertion
Floating: Per union contract if unit is overstaffed travelers will float out to other departments first- MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab or SPCU.

Must Haves: - An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred - A recent 12 months of ICU RN experience in an acute hospital setting - Independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors - EPIC experience - AK RN License - BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certifications Preferred or Nice to Have: - 1 yr of experience recovering open heart surgeries <12 hr. post op - Travel Experience
