JOB SUMMARY:

Electrician position installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, controls equipment, and fixtures, and apparatus by performing the following duties below.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment ranging from 12 to 480 volts
Maintain all electrical power and related equipment including (i.e. appliances, motors-1/8 to 400 horsepower, lighting, control circuits, motor control centers and underground cable
Design, designate and dedicate control circuits and amp loads
Calculate wire sizes, voltage drops, conduit sizes
Facilitate in the design and cost estimating for minor electrical installations
Manage electrical parts and supplies inventory
Assist with temporary service installations for special events

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma
2 years of electrical trade school and/or 4 years apprenticeship program required
Knowledge and comprehension of the National Electrical Code required
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and to move heavy materials or equipment as required.
