Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Lima, Ohio (45801) – Ohio healthcare jobs
- Unit: 6K General Medical-Surgical/Telemetry & Renal (28 beds)
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nurse contract
- Start Date: November 3, 2025
- End Date: February 2, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights; every other weekend & holiday required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1800
- Travel Position: Local candidates not accepted
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be from an approved source prior to direct patient care)
- Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
- Preferred: CAPD experience, proficiency with drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin), and advanced respiratory modalities (Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula)
- EPIC EHR experience preferred
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; analyze telemetry data and develop individualized care plans
- Safely administer medications and manage IV drips according to hospital policy
- Interpret telemetry every 4 hours; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and advocate for patient needs
- Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and discharge planning
- Utilize advanced respiratory modalities; care for patients with multi-system organ failure or trauma
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EHR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety standards
- Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and compassionate care in a fast-paced clinical environment
