Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Lima, Ohio 45801 (Ohio nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: 24-bed ICU (neuro, cardiac, postsurgical, high acuity)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN job
- Start Date: October 20, 2025
- End Date: January 19, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (every other weekend and holiday required)
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48-hour guarantee)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910
- Unit Equipment: Alaris pumps, ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, pressors, IABP, EVD, ICP, TVP, CRRT, Impella, SWAN, ECMO
- Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 (flexible based on census and staffing)
- Scrubs: Navy blue
ICU RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Dysrhythmia Exam (required; study guide provided)
- BLS certification (required prior to direct patient care)
- ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- Ability to float to all levels of care as needed
- Experience with advanced critical care equipment (IABP, CRRT, Impella, ECMO) preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work every other weekend and holiday
- Travel nurse candidates only (local candidates not eligible)
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate treatment outcomes
- Administer medications and manage life-supporting technology (ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO)
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data for critically ill patients
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, serving as a primary contact for patients and families
- Float to other hospital units as required
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies
- Educate patients and families on care plans and treatments
- Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and resilience in a high-acuity clinical environment
