ER RN Job Details
- Location: Danville, VA 24541 – Experience the charm of Danville’s River District, featuring parks, trails, historic architecture, art galleries, and museums along the Dan River.
- Healthcare Setting: 250-bed Academic Community Hospital
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/28/2025 – End: 1/27/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be completed prior to start)
- Consent to random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form
- Must reside at least 60 miles from Danville, VA to qualify for travel nursing status
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department
- Assess, triage, and prioritize care for patients in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care and treatment
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development for nursing staff
