- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,760–$1,890 per week
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Floating: Required to other Med/Surg Telemetry floors
- Scrubs: Royal Blue
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maryland or compact state)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required; 4 years preferred
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:5 or higher preferred
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to float between similar Med/Surg Tele units as needed
- First-time travel nurses not accepted
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adolescent, adult, pediatric (minimal), and geriatric patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and document nursing care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy
- Provide care for patients with med/surg, postoperative, and COVID-19 diagnoses
- Float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units as required
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to assignment start
