The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Hendersonville
The role you'll contribute: The Breast Imaging Coordinator will interface with the breast health team and assist with the coordination of all aspects of screening mammography; diagnostic imaging; clinical evaluation; support services and education for women receiving services at the Imaging Center. The Imaging Coordinator serves as a primary point of intake; assuring patients have appropriate, timely, medical and supportive services. In addition, this position supports: data collection, tumor board processes/participation and marketing/community outreach efforts.
The value you'll bring to the team:
- Facilitates an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer care throughout the diagnostic continuum.
- Educates, recruits, tracks, and follows up with women who receive abnormal breast cancer screening results to ensure access to diagnostic evaluation and biopsy if needed.
- Contacts referring clinicians when patients need further diagnostic evaluation or breast biopsy.
- Monitors patient scheduling and preparation for radiological guided breast biopsy, including MRI, PEM, ultrasound, and stereotactic core biopsy.
- Ensures patient understanding of breast biopsy procedures and assists with imaging breast biopsies as needed.
Qualifications
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:
- High School Grad or Equivalent Required
- 3 year of relevant experience in complex mammography exams/procedures including, but not limited to, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Breast localization procedures.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
- Registered Mammographer (RTMARRT) Required
