Job Description
Join our team in a high-acuity Stepdown unit with 32 total beds, including 22 stepdown beds and 10 floor beds. The hospital handles patients primarily with cardiology issues, heart failure, and those recovering from cardiac surgery. You will work alongside a dedicated charge nurse and have support from clinical associates and respiratory therapists.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in a stepdown setting, maintaining a 1:3 nurse to patient ratio.
- Titrate drips, including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Cardizem, Nicardipine, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Dobutamine.
- Utilize cardiac monitoring and document patient progress using EPIC.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
- Respond to patient needs and changes in condition promptly.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- NIHSS certification preferred.
- Preferred experience in cardiac care.
- Active RN license required; any license hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.
