Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days (07:00–19:30) and Evenings (11:00–23:30), some weekends required

Description:
Seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at our downtown facility. This position requires caring for pediatric patients pre- and post-operatively in a critical care setting. Schedule includes six 12-hour shifts every two weeks, with both day and evening shifts in the same pay period.

Qualifications:

Current New York State RN license
BLS certification (current and able to recertify)
Minimum 1.5 years recent pediatric critical care experience in an acute care facility of similar size and level (trauma center experience preferred)
PACU experience preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in the PACU
Perform patient assessments and deliver care with minimal orientation and supervision
Safely manage pre- and post-operative care in a critical care environment
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
