Travel Nurse Job Details

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Fetal Monitoring certification
- Permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility (per travel nurse requirements)
- All certifications must be submitted with application
L&D RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Monitor and assess fetal and maternal status; interpret data and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Administer medications and assist with labor interventions as needed
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and clinical best practices
