Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or compact state
- At least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Strong communication, clinical, and critical thinking skills
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor patient vitals and telemetry, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, discharge instructions, and ongoing care
- Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record
