Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
- Start Dates: November 3, 2025 or November 17, 2025
- Healthcare Setting: 10-bed Acute Rehab Unit (Neuro Rehab, CVA, Spine, Ortho)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Location: Lynchburg, Virginia (24503)
- On-Site Position
- Orientation: Every other Monday
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Complete work history with explanations for any gaps over 90 days
- Skills checklist and copy of RN license (Nursys) required
- Cerner EMR experience highly preferred
- CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) certification highly preferred
- Must be able to work every other weekend (schedule based on unit needs)
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible for this travel RN job
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a 10-bed acute rehab unit specializing in neuro rehab, CVA, spine, and orthopedic cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including students and new hires, in a teaching hospital environment
- Foster a supportive and educational culture for all healthcare team members
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR (if applicable)
- Comply with all hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
