Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Bel Air, MD 21014 (Maryland healthcare jobs)
- Setting: ED Boarders – Medical Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN)
- Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- End Date: February 16, 2026
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend & holidays as scheduled
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 5-6 patients per RN
- Unit Size: 15 beds
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only); ACLS preferred
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
- Willingness to float within hospital units as needed
- Two satisfactory professional references (recent supervisor/manager or charge RN)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nursing requirement)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a boarder area for all hospital units (excluding critical care)
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage IVs, and administer medications
- Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and document progress using Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, respiratory, pharmacy, social services)
- Manage diverse diagnoses and respond to rapid response/code situations
- Float to other units within scope of experience as required
- Participate in orientation and complete required training modules
