Job Description
This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience and must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact license in hand. The role involves direct patient care, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ vital signs and overall condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience prior to travel.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required; must be willing to obtain NIHSS prior to start.
- A recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.
- Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation is mandatory.
