Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for a Weekend Night Shift position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care, as the unit specializes in cardiology, heart failure, and post-cardiac surgery patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to stepdown and floor patients with a ratio of 1:3 in stepdown and 1:5 or 1:6 in floor beds.
- Titrate drips including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Cardizem, Nicardipine, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Dobutamine.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated charge nurse and clinical associates to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring systems; tele techs will assist with monitoring and recording strips.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- Previous cardiac experience is preferred.
