Job Description
The Registered Nurse demonstrates competent knowledge and assessment skills across the continuum of care from Pediatric to Geriatric patients. Responsibilities include delivering patient care appropriately, performing thorough and systematic assessments, and providing skilled clinical care within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide direct patient care and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Respond professionally and courteously to patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Follow safety protocols and utilize proper techniques for patient transfer and care.
- Individualize patient care based on specific conditions, procedures, and anesthesia types.
- Engage patients and families in education about procedures, conducting both pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
- Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- One year of nursing experience is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is preferred.
