Position Summary: The MED-SURG is responsible for delivering direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients in a hospital setting. This role involves assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patients’ physical and emotional status.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies.
- Educate patients and families about disease management and discharge instructions.
Prioritize and manage care for multiple patients based on their acuity levels.
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted certification/licensure as an RN.
- BLS from AHA.
- COVID card or Medical / Religious Exemption.
