Telemetry RN Job Details – Asheville, NC
- Location: Asheville, NC (28801) – North Carolina nursing jobs
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1650–$1770
- Unit: 6 West Neurosciences, Main Campus
- Setting: On-Site, Travel Nursing
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/2/2025 – End: 2/1/2026)
- Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12 Hour Days)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Number of Beds: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – eligible for North Carolina healthcare jobs
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) RN experience
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Neurosciences or neuro nursing experience is a plus
- Outgoing, self-motivated, and team-oriented personality
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care on a 36-bed Neurosciences Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Perform clinical procedures including Foley catheter insertion and IV starts
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (RNs, CNAs, HUCs)
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner EMR
- Float to other Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) units as needed
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and dress code requirements
- Participate in every other weekend rotation as part of the nursing team
