Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801
- Unit: 6 West Neurosciences (36-bed Telemetry unit)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- End Date: February 16, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Med-Surg nursing experience
- Current ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Proficient in IV starts and Foley catheter insertions
- Strong clinical skills and self-motivated, outgoing personality
- Neurosciences or neuro nursing experience preferred
- Ability to float to other Med-Surg units as needed
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care on a 36-bed Neurosciences Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and neurological status
- Perform nursing procedures including IV starts and Foley insertions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
- Follow hospital policies, unit guidelines, and safety protocols
- Participate in orientation and utilize staff reference materials
