Description
Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management. Assists with responsibility 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s) to meet the needs of the patient. Works closely with Nurse Manager to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications:
- Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
- Coursework/Training: Training in Moderate Sedation, Dysrhythmia Recognition, Sterile Technique.
- Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- 5 years Critical Care Nursing experience.
- 3 years Unit Specific or procedure experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Upon hire: Specialty certification related to unit (RCIS, RCES, CCRN)
- Upon hire: ACLS or PALS
- Charge Nurse/leadership experience.
- ACC-NCDR Registry experience.
- GE Cardio Lab computerized documentation system experience.
