Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week hospital contract requiring a WI or compact license and recent OR experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting
- Unit assignment is Surgery with a focus on perioperative patient care
- Shift is typically 4x10-hour days, 09:00-19:00 or 10:00-20:00, with scheduling flexibility based on OR volume
- On-call rotation includes 1-2 weeknights and every 4th weekend, as well as rotating holiday call with staff
- Patients include a variety of surgical cases with opportunity for robotic-assisted procedures
- Epic EMR is used in the unit, with experience preferred
- May float to other units within skill set or to facilities within 40 miles if needed
- Responsibilities include intraoperative nursing care, circulating, and assisting with robotic surgeries
- Team supports a flexible shift structure to accommodate surgical volume
- Floating may be required to other areas within skill set or nearby facilities
- Holiday and on-call coverage is shared with regular staff in a rotating schedule
- Scrub color/dress code is not specified
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced local rate per facility radius rules
Requirements
- Active WI or compact state RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Primary license source verification via Nursys required within 30 days of assignment start
- Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience required
- Robotic and scrub nurse experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and home address (cannot be international)
