- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Start Date: November 3, 2025
- End Date: February 2, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 48
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: Float to all areas of the Emergency Department: Triage, Behavioral Health, Trauma, Fast Track
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800
ER RN Qualifications
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active and valid North Carolina RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required (ACLS and PALS may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- CPR certification upon hire
- NCI certification within 60 days of hire
- NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire
- Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Ability to provide nursing care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- No local travelers within 100 miles of the facility
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and data collection
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions
- Monitor and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes
- Float to Triage, Behavioral Health, Trauma, and Fast Track areas as needed
- Utilize advanced clinical skills: dysrhythmia interpretation, multisystem organ dysfunction management, central line care, IV sedation, vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ABG interpretation, ventilator management, triage
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, support staff
- Maintain strict infection control and isolation precautions
- Accurately document all care and interventions in Meditech system
