Operating Room RN Job Details
- Location: Rutland, Vermont (05701) – Vermont nursing jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse position
- Unit: Operating Room (OR) – Surgical nursing
- Start Date: November 3, 2025
- End Date: January 31, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 10-hour rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2320 - $2490
- Orientation: Biweekly sessions for travel nurses
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must obtain Vermont RN license upon acceptance
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
- BLS certification required
- Orthopedic OR nursing experience highly preferred
- Scrub nurse experience highly preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Ability to provide a complete and accurate work history, including facility details and explanations for any employment gaps over 30 days
- Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available)
- Local candidates are not eligible for this travel RN job
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the Operating Room, specializing in orthopedic surgical procedures
- Perform circulating and, if qualified, scrub nurse duties during surgical cases
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (preferred)
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Attend orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
