Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position, requiring an OH or compact RN license and willingness to float to multiple pediatric units.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a hospital setting
- Float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 to 7:30)
- Assigned patient population includes critically ill pediatric and cardiac infants and children
- Provide direct care to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients and support other pediatric units as floated
- No local candidates permitted due to facility radius rules
- Strict attendance and punctuality policies are enforced for all travelers
- No on-call or mandatory call shifts required
- First-time travelers will be considered if minimum experience is met
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- Preference for nearly 2 years of recent pediatric ICU nursing experience
- Must provide 2 supervisory references, with at least one from a supervisor or manager
- Must be willing and able to float between NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units
- Cannot have been a permanent employee at the facility within the past 2 years
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility
