Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Leonardtown, Maryland 20650 (Southern Maryland healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 3, 2025
- End Date: February 2, 2026
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, Friday & Saturday nights)
- Unit: Emergency Department (44 beds, 30 rooms, daily census ~120)
- Orientation: 36 hours (orientation every Monday)
- Scrubs: Royal Blue (not provided)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,570 - $1,680
ER RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS
- Proficiency with Cerner charting system
- Community hospital nursing experience
- Patient ratio experience: 1:4-6
- Two (2) supervisor references required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- First-time travel nurses welcome
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care to adults and children in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Perform triage, assessment, and emergency treatment for a wide range of acute conditions
- Administer emergency medications, manage IVs, and provide conscious sedation as needed
- Utilize advanced clinical skills: telemetry, ventilator management, ABG and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
- Participate in ongoing nursing education and complete required modules prior to and during orientation
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
