ER RN Job Details – Puyallup, WA
- Location: Puyallup, Washington 98372 (Seattle-Tacoma area)
- Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 375 licensed beds, 46-bed Emergency Department
- Assignment Length: 14 weeks (November 3, 2025 – February 7, 2026)
- Shifts: 12-hour Days/Mids (start times: 0700, 1100, 1500, or 1900; may rotate between day/mid or night/mid with advance notice)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,780 - $1,910
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Orientation: Comprehensive onboarding with preceptor support
- Charting System: Epic EMR

Emergency Room RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or compact state
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB
- Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV insertion, and ED medication administration
- Experience with procedural sedation, blood administration, and cardiac medications preferred
- Traveler Telemetry Competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)
- Ability to provide care for diverse patient populations: trauma, cardiac, mental health, and geriatric patients
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department (average 200 patients/day)
- Assess, triage, and manage a wide range of emergency conditions, including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, respiratory, and mental health emergencies
- Administer medications, perform IV insertions, and provide procedural sedation as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: ER techs, charge nurses, float nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, social work, and security
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
- Maintain a safe, professional environment and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in orientation and ongoing education to ensure clinical competency
