Job Information Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.

Example of Duties Under the direct supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, this position manages the Administrative Division and oversees the department's financial and business operations. Develop, monitors, and implements department operating and capital budgets, conducting strategic planning, and implementing year-round services. The role involves developing and implementing department program policies and procedures to ensure efficient division operations, as well as supervising staff through scheduling, work assignments, hiring, training, evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Assists with the development of department staffing levels. It ensures compliance with labor contracts, the Municipality of Anchorage's Personnel Rules and Regulations, and federal and state OSHA requirements. Additionally, this position assists the Director in the planning, development, and execution of departmental services and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High school diploma, GED or equivalent
and eight (
8 ) years of experience in the field related to the position.

Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Purchasing, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline
and six (
6 ) years of experience in the field related to the position.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Purchasing, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline
and four (
4 ) years of experience in the field related to the position.
