Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with robotics, spine, total joints, and general surgery experience, and an active GA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
- Cases include robotics, spine, orthopedic/total joints, neuro, and general surgeries
- Day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with 8-hour shifts
- On-call rotation required approximately 1-2 weekday and one weekend 12-hour call per month, with opportunity to select preferred call days
- Float not specified
- No local candidates; a 50-mile radius rule applies
- Responsible for circulating and scrubbing on a wide variety of surgical cases including robotics, spine, orthopedic, neuro, and general procedures
- Option to pick up additional call if desired
- Holiday call coverage is required
- Strict RTO (Requested Time Off) policy: maximum of 5 days off unless time off falls near a holiday, in which case only 3 days are permitted
- Only one holiday request is allowed for RTO; multiple days around holidays will not be approved
- Cannot submit as a local traveler within 50 miles of the facility
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 18 months RN experience required
- Minimum of 2 years Operating Room RN experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Experience with robotics, spine, total joints, and general OR procedures required
- Travel experience preferred
- Former staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
