Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a cardiac-focused unit, requiring a SC or compact RN license and 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cardiac-focused Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
- Care for adult patients with cardiac conditions and general Med/Surg needs
- Uses Cerner EMR system; Cerner experience required
- No floating, call, or on-call responsibilities noted
- Provides competent, efficient patient care and completes accurate initial and ongoing assessments
- Responsible for admitting assessments and age-appropriate care across the lifespan
- Adheres to hospital policy, regulatory requirements, and applicable standards of care
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Compliance with hospital’s COVID and Flu vaccination policies required
- Scrub or dress code requirements not specified
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a U.S. hospital required
- Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training certification required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- BSN highly desired but not required
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
