Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with 2 years of case management experience in large hospitals and proficiency with Epic for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work as an RN Case Manager in a hospital with over 1000 beds
- Floating required to all units except psych and women and infants
- Patient population includes all admitted patients except psych and women/infants
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with either 7:00 am–3:30 pm or 8:00 am–4:30 pm shifts based on unit needs
- Every other weekend is required
- Day shift (5x8 hours)
- Epic and Allscripts EMR systems are used, with Epic experience preferred
- Responsibilities include completing assessments on admissions, attending interdisciplinary rounds, and initiating referrals for home health, DME, SNFs, LTACHS, and IRFs
- Travelers will float within the hospital and to affiliated hospitals as needed
- Pre-start online modules required and paid up to 16 hours
- No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment; up to 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
- Assignment does not accept local candidates within 75 miles
- Must be able to complete compliance labs and modules within specified timelines
- Not open to first-time travelers
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent case management experience in a hospital with 1000+ beds
- Epic EMR experience required
- Academic hospital experience preferred
- No first-time travelers accepted
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
- Two professional supervisory references from within the last two years may be required
- Must be eligible to pass fit testing; facial hair must allow for proper mask fit
- No medical marijuana cards accepted
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
