Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with acute care expertise and a current CA RN license for a day shift contract.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital case management unit
- Day shifts are scheduled from 8:00 to 16:30, five days per week
- Every other weekend coverage is required
- Patient caseload includes acute care cases
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Floating between all facilities within the state may be required
- Must commit to working at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Returning staff must wait at least 3 months before being eligible to return as a traveler and may not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Pre-assignment and annual training modules must be completed, with average completion time of 16 hours
- Floating is mandatory and refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Local candidates are accepted but are subject to a different pay rate
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted up front; excessive RTO requests may delay or impact consideration
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care case management experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable setting
