Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license and proficiency with Cerner documentation.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Patient population includes pregnant women from 17 weeks gestation, laboring mothers, and scheduled procedures including C-sections and external cephalic versions
- Care for patients undergoing admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section)
- Uses fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink for documentation
- 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Main responsibilities include L&D nursing care, triage, managing admissions and deliveries, and electronic documentation
- Team-based environment with admissions, pre-op, post-op, and transfer responsibilities
- AHA certifications only will be accepted
- COVID and flu vaccination may be required as part of onboarding
- No local candidates within a 25-mile radius will be considered
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring certification required
- CPI certification mandated for the position
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience in a US hospital required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Must provide two manager or supervisor references from the past twelve months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Candidate must live at least 25 miles from the facility
- Must have a valid US Social Security Number
