Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with at least two years of Cath Lab experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications for a day shift contract in Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a hospital Cath Lab with adult patient population
- Handles an average of 18-20 cases daily in 3 Cath and 2 EP procedure rooms (1 EP room under renovation)
- Specializes in coronary and peripheral diagnostics and interventions, as well as cardioversion and TEE procedures
- Day shifts are 10 hours (0630-1700, 0730-1800, or 1000-2030), 4 shifts per week
- Call required up to 2 days per week and every other weekend, with a 4-person call team
- Uses Philips and Siemens X-ray equipment, Acist, and Synchvision; Epic for charting and MacLab for hemodynamic monitoring
- Floating may be required within the hospital and affiliated hospitals
- Responsibilities include circulating, administering conscious sedation, and telemetry monitoring in the Cath Lab
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Team-based environment with a 4-person call team and minimum of 2 RNs on call
- Free parking on-site
- Fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper testing
- Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced, high-acuity setting with advanced cardiac procedures
- Modules must be completed prior to start date; up to 16 hours paid for completion
- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
- No RTO (requested time off) allowed during the first week; maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Travelers may remain for 18 months, followed by a 3-month break before returning
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
- Circulation, conscious sedation, and telemetry skills required; scrub experience preferred
- Epic charting and MacLab experience preferred
- Structural heart experience preferred
- Must reside outside of a 75-mile radius of the facility
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year after employment to return as a traveler
- First-time travelers will be considered
