Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele adaptive acuity unit with required PCU experience and drip proficiency.

Responsibilities

Work in an adaptive acuity Med/Surg Tele unit with a 25-bed capacity
Patient ratios range from 1:5-7 in general, and 3:1 when providing PCU level care
Travelers must occasionally provide PCU care as required by unit needs
Care may include managing drips and higher acuity PCU patients
Floating to any inpatient unit within scope of practice is required
Travelers must not request more than 5 days of RTO; all RTO must be submitted prior to assignment and changes are not allowed
Holiday coverage will require working two major winter holidays and the weekend after as assigned
Candidates are required to float as necessary and must not refuse assignments within their practice scope
Block scheduling will not be considered for this position

Requirements

Active VT or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years current Med/Surg Tele experience required
At least 3 months of previous travel RN experience required
PCU experience is strongly required
Drip experience is required
ICU experience strongly preferred
Experience in small critical access facilities preferred
Must have own vehicle for assignment
