- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930 - $2070

- Float Zone: Assignments may be at any Centura Health location within 60 miles of Colorado Springs city center
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a participating NLC state (required)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience (telemetry or MedSurg preferred)
- Ability and willingness to float to multiple hospital units and Centura Health facilities as needed
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of clinical data
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
- Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights, providing education to patients and families
- Deliver compassionate, relationship-based nursing care that respects each patient’s preferences and values
- Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with Colorado state and hospital policy
- Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and preceptor for new staff or nursing students
- Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing research activities
- Maintain professional records and pursue ongoing education to ensure nursing competency
- Effectively manage resources and patient flow, adapting to changing assignments and unit needs
