Role Description
As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team and help lead the technical delivery of our projects, including those with a conservation and heritage focus.
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Architectural Technologist based in Greater London, with the potential for remote working. The Architectural Technologist will be responsible for creating and managing technical drawings, working drawings, architectural drawings, and construction drawings. The role involves collaborating with architects and other team members to ensure designs meet technical standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of projects, with a focus on conservation and heritage;
- Prepare detailed working drawings and NBS specifications for tender and construction;
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities;
- Coordinate design teams and manage project documentation;
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, planning policy and conservation best practice (e.g. SPAB, Historic England); and
- Support the practice’s CPD programme and knowledge sharing in building technology and conservation.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally with conservation project experience or a wish to progress into heritage and conservation work;
- Bachelor’s degree or HND/HNC in Architectural Technology or a related field;
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) with chartered status desirable;
- CIAT’s Conservation Accreditation, or similar credentials, are advantageous;
- Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and conservation best practice;
- Strong knowledge of traditional building methods, materials, and repair techniques;
- Demonstrate experience working with listed buildings and in conservation areas desirable;
- Proficient in producing high-quality construction documentation;
- Experience with the following software: Autodesk Revit BIM software, AutoCAD for 2D drafting, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office 365 suite, and NBS Chorus for specification writing.
- Self-motivated, well-organised and capable of managing multiple projects independently; and
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
