Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Yuma, Arizona (zip 85364) – Arizona healthcare jobs
- Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Med/Surg Tele (2 West)
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990–$2,130 per week
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; 2 out of 3 holidays
- Unit Details: 2 West – 90 double occupancy beds
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year in Med/Surg Tele specialty
- Recent experience in Trauma Level I or II hospital setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Proficient with Epic EMR system
- Ability to float to MedSurg, low acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO)
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients with medical diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, AKI, and post-surgical cases
- Maintain nurse-patient ratios of 1:5-6 (days) and 1:6 (nights)
- Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and monitor techs for optimal patient outcomes
- Operate respiratory therapy equipment (Bipap, stable trach) as needed
- Document patient care using Epic EMR
- Participate in unit orientation and ongoing clinical education
- Respond to low census on-call requirements and float assignments
