Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Location: Hummelstown, PA 17036 (near Hershey, Pennsylvania)
- Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown Unit (PIMCU)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990-$2130
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:30pm), every other weekend and holiday
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Start Date: October 7, 2025
- End Date: January 4, 2026
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Pennsylvania or compact state)
- At least 1 year of recent pediatric cardiac stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required; 3 years in Level 1 Trauma Center preferred
- Current PALS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Experience with home ventilators required
- Fingerprinting required prior to start date
- Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric cardiac stepdown and medicine overflow patients
- Float to other pediatric or children’s units as needed and provide 1:1 patient sitter support
- Monitor and manage pediatric patients requiring home ventilators
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best nursing practices
