Labor & Delivery RN Job Details
- Location: Spokane Valley, WA 99216 (Washington nursing jobs)
- Setting: Women's Services – Labor & Delivery Unit
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Registered Nurse contract)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)
- Shifts: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Unit Details: 9 LDRP beds, overflow up to 14 beds
- Electronic Medical Record: Epic EMR
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (labor and delivery nurse jobs)
- Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or compact state
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN, Relias, or C-EFM)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- STABLE certification preferred
- Strong IV skills and proficiency in maternal and newborn assessment
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Open to first-time travel nurses
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and post-op c-section/hysterectomy patients
- Circulate and recover patients following vaginal and c-section deliveries
- Provide newborn care in a Level I Nursery, including transitional care and stabilization for transport
- Attend every delivery for infant care and stabilization (35 weeks gestation and greater)
- Start IVs and draw labs for both maternal and newborn patients
- Support infant stays for low blood sugar and phototherapy as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
