ER Nurse Job Details
- Location: Puyallup, Washington 98372 (Puget Sound area)
- Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 375 licensed beds (46-bed Emergency Department)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Shift: 12-hour mids/nights (start times: 3:00 PM or 7:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/7/2026)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,880–$2,020 per week
- First-time travel nurses welcome!
ER RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington RN license preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, and emergency medication administration
- Traveler Telemetry Competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages, including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, mental health, and high-acuity medical cases
- Perform procedural sedation, blood administration, and cardiac medication administration
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: ER techs, charge/resource nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacy, and security
- Utilize Epic for electronic charting and Alaris/Pyxis for medication management
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation process with dedicated preceptors and nurse educators
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct (scrub color of choice, modest piercings, non-offensive tattoos permitted)
- Comply with holiday and weekend scheduling requirements as determined by the emergency department
