Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Abilene, Texas 79601
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- End Date: December 29, 2025
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (10:30 AM – 9:00 PM), Monday to Thursday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070 - $2220
- Call/Late Days: As needed
- Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (preferred)
- Experience with Allscripts or Altera electronic charting systems preferred
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
OR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care in the Operating Room, focusing on neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics/trauma cases
- Demonstrate expertise in craniotomy and burr hole procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Participate in call and late shifts as needed
- Provide compassionate care to patients of all age groups
- Comply with all facility policies and healthcare compliance requirements
