Together, we will help Alaskan families, elders, and those in need reach higher levels of independence and self-sufficiency. Eligibility Technicians assist the public by connecting them to a variety of public assistance programs and services our agency provides.

The Working Environment You Can Expect: This position joins a statewide eligibility workflow team in local Public Assistance offices across the state. The work location is in our Bethel office, 460 Ridgecrest Dr., Bethel, AK, 99559.

OR One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skill in leading staff that apply program requirements while working with client customers in stressful situations.
Substitution: Post-secondary education in such fields as sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours = 1 month).
