Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
- Location: Birthing Center/Mother Baby Unit, Martinsburg, WV 25401
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), full-time
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Duration: 13 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend & holiday rotation required
- Orientation: 1 onboarding shift + 1 12-hour floor orientation with preceptor
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2160 - $2310
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state) – required for West Virginia nursing jobs
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience (2 years preferred)
- Mother Baby nursing experience (at least 1 year preferred)
- C-section experience required; must be able to circulate & recover
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Ability to float between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
- First-time travel nurses welcome!
L&D RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a modern birthing center
- Circulate and recover C-sections as part of the clinical support team
- Monitor fetal health using Centricity FHM system
- Collaborate with OB hospitalists, neonatology support, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Promote family-centered care and safe sleep practices
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
- Document patient care using EPIC EMR
- Assist with cross-coverage between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
