Brief Unit Description: (Level-1 Adult Trauma, Peds level -2 trauma) Main OR: 15 plus Operating rooms at a major academic medical center in Borough Park, Brooklyn- New York
Call Requirements: Yes, (if needed) -8 hr shifts nights -11p-7a) week days
Float to other units: No
Weekend Requirements: 8 hr- call shifts (if needed): 7a-3p;3p-11p;11p-7a
Holiday Requirements: 8 hr- call shifts (if needed): 7a-3p;3p-11p;11p-7a
Unit Size/Beds: 3 cardiothoracic operating room suites in a 15 multi- specialty Operating Rooms (Main OR)
Cases Seen: Wide range of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries (including open and hybrid procedures), coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and aneurysm repairs, TAVRs, ECMO, Impella, Heartmate, lead extractions; LVAD awareness
Years of Experience preferred: At least 4 years of CVOR and open heart experience. Must have Scrub and Circulating experience.
Previous Travel Experience Required: Yes
Certifications required: Active NY RN License. Valid ACLS and BLS. Other certifications welcome
