- Centrally located with 2-3 hour drive to Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi
- L&D is Designated Level for Maternal and Neonatal Care
- Level one designation
- Area has a large transient population due to plant construction in county
- EMR is OBIX
- Department averages 15-20 deliveries per month
