Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in New York with EPIC proficiency and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Care for laboring mothers and newborns, including nursery responsibilities
- Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Must have recent EPIC charting experience
- Fetal monitoring certification required within the past two years
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients and their newborns
- Must complete a facility-specific physical exam
- COVID-related policies apply and must be met prior to employment
- Unit may cancel up to 5 shifts per contract
- Holiday rotations and every other weekend shifts are standard expectations
Requirements
- Active NY RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical Labor & Delivery experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Strong nursery care skills are essential
- Fetal Monitoring certification from within the past two years
- Candidates who have worked as staff at this facility in the last year or at any AMC network facility (AMC, GFH, Saratoga, CMH) within the last six months will not be considered
- Candidates cannot reside in the following NY counties: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany
