Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team at a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient assessment, administering injections, and ventilating patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care in emergency situations
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform medical procedures such as phlebotomy and physical examinations
- Document patient information accurately in medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families on home care procedures
Requirements:
- Valid RN license and BLS certification,TNCC,NIHSS, ACLS.
- Previous experience in an Emergency Room setting required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a teaching hospital environment
- Proficiency in medical coding and documentation
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with compassion and professionalism
2 years of experience in specialty
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
MA RN License
EMR Exp Preferred: Meditech Expanse 6– experience is preferred not required
Number of Bed: 41 private exam beds & ACU (accelerated care unit) 7 bed fast track, 35 hall beds ... average ED census 75
*Must have peds experience and be comfortable with them as part of their ratio
