About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our dermatology team in Edinburgh. This is a part-time position working weekends, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist setting. You will support patients attending dermatology clinics and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and support to patients attending dermatology and outpatient clinics.
Assist nursing and medical staff with patient preparation, procedures, and treatment.
Carry out clinical tasks such as wound care, dressing changes, and assisting with minor procedures (training provided if required).
Support the smooth running of clinics, including patient flow and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
Accurately update patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Deliver excellent communication and reassurance to patients and their families.

About You

Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker, or similar.
Experience in dermatology or outpatients is highly desirable.
A caring, professional, and patient-focused approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and undertake further training where required.
Flexibility to work weekend shifts.
