Registered Nurse – MS/Tele (Neuroscience)
Location: LifeBridge Health, 2401 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215
Unit: 3 South – Neuroscience (Certified Stroke Center, Level IV EMU)
Start Date: 10/13/2025 | Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend & holiday
Position Summary
The RN will work on 3 South, a Neuro Med/Surg Tele unit specializing in stroke, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, neurosurgery, and general medical-surgical/telemetry patients. Nurses will provide evidence-based care, manage a 1:5 ratio, and may float to other MS/Tele units.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients with neuro-related diagnoses (stroke, seizures, post-craniotomy, spinal cord injury, ETOH withdrawal, etc.) and general med/surg telemetry patients.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations.
- Perform IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
- Care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and wound vacs.
- Support EEG monitoring, telemetry, and bladder scanning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response.
- Float to other MS/Tele units as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN License (MD or Compact)
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience (neuro preferred)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TCRN preferred)
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Must complete basic EKG exam via Prophecy Relias before orientation
- Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred

- 36-bed Neuro Med/Surg Tele unit
- Patient ratio: 1:5 (days, nights, weekends)
- Patient population: stroke, epilepsy, TBI, neurosurgery, radiculopathy, rhabdomyolysis, medical/surgical with and without telemetry
- Support services: PT, respiratory, social services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams
