Job Description
We are seeking skilled nursing professionals, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, for a skilled care unit within an acute hospital setting. The unit has a total of 33 beds, comprised of both private and semi-private rooms. Nurses will be supported by an interdisciplinary team and report to a designated charge nurse.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and perform assessments.
- Provide wound care and manage foley catheters, IVs, peg tubes, and ostomy care.
- Deliver direct patient care, including feeding, bathing, and personal hygiene by CNAs.
- Ensure proper documentation using the Community Works EMR system.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- For LPNs: IV certification preferred; competency assessment will be performed on-site.
- Must possess WV Cares prior to start date.
